TURISAS

Turisas are a folk metal band from Finland and so removed from the norm are they, that the term ‘Battle Metal’ has been used to describe them.

Now whether this becomes an official term for a sub-genre of metal remains to be seen, but the very fact that one band has caused this term to be used should be interesting enough for you to pop along and see them.

It’s the elements of power metal and symphonic metal, coupled with clean vocals and frequent death metal vocals that make them a stand out.

A lot of bands, whilst being very good can have similar sounds, but not Turisas. So check them out.
