I Divide are a five piece band who have four members from Essex and a fifth from Torquay.

In just over two weeks they will be the opening band on the 2nd stage at the Download festival on Saturday morning.

In the run up to the festival itself, we will be running a daily post of artists to watch. These will comprise of bands that you might not have heard of before and the bands that you will have heard a lot of before.

For most people, I Divide, will fall into the former category, and so it gives us great pleasure to open our Download Festival recommendations with these guys.

They released an EP called “What’s Worth More?” in 2011 and they were Red Bull Bedroom Jam Winners in 2012. The band won the ‘Best Rock Act’ award at the 2012 South West Music Awards. They have supported Funeral For A Friend on tour, a band that musically they have a lot in common with and they produce a very melodic form of metal with great use of harmonies and if you haven’t caught them yet, now’s your chance.

So shake off the hangover from the Friday night and drag your backside down to the The Zippo Encore Stage on Saturday 15th June at 11.00 am.
